This notice explains how the personal data of users who visit this website and contact the Terra Mia B&B properties (Savoia and Fonseca) is processed, pursuant to EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR). What data we process, for what purposes and on what legal basis • Booking and payment: when you book and pay online, we collect and store in our database the data needed for the booking (name, email, phone, stay dates, number of guests and any notes); the payment is handled by Stripe, which processes your card details on its own behalf and which we do not have access to. Alternatively, you can send a request via WhatsApp (e.g. for cash payment or tailor-made offers): in that case you are redirected to the WhatsApp app and the data in the message is sent to the host. Purpose: to manage and fulfil your booking or handle your request, including at the pre-contractual stage (Art. 6.1.b GDPR). • Contact by email or phone: if you write or call us, we process the data you provide solely to reply to you (Art. 6.1.b GDPR). • Confirmed booking and stay: in the event of a booking, we collect the guests' identification data required by law, including reporting guests to the public security authorities and managing the tourist tax (Art. 6.1.c GDPR – legal obligation). Recipients of the data Data may be processed on our behalf by providers acting as data processors: Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (online payment processing), Resend (sending confirmation emails), the website hosting provider (Vercel) and database provider (Neon, with servers in the European Union), and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (WhatsApp messaging service). Guest data is also disclosed to the competent authorities (police headquarters, municipality) where required by law. Data is not disseminated or sold to third parties for commercial purposes. Booking requests for the Fonseca property are forwarded to its operator, Alfonso Abbatiello (VAT 10722561213), who acts as an independent data controller for the personal data of its own guests. The booking platform and the operational management of bookings are administered by Vincenzo Offerto (operator of Terra Mia Savoia); for this reason, the booking data relating to Terra Mia Fonseca may also be accessible to Vincenzo Offerto, who processes it solely for booking management, with the authorisation of the controller Alfonso Abbatiello and subject to confidentiality. Data transfers outside the EU The use of services such as Stripe, Resend, Vercel and WhatsApp (Meta) may involve the transfer of data to countries outside the European Economic Area (e.g. the United States). Such transfers take place on the basis of the safeguards provided by the GDPR (e.g. standard contractual clauses). How long we keep the data Contact and request data is kept for as long as necessary to handle your request. Data relating to confirmed bookings is kept for the periods required by tax, administrative and public security legislation. Your rights You can at any time exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability (Arts. 15-22 GDPR) by writing to terramiabeb2021@gmail.com.
